Frost update
All the plants survived the frost. Hooray.
Gone. Hopped away, or cat got it. So sad.

Remember that little 3 inch baby that came up randomly? Well, it has gotten big. At least 12 inches across. That may sound good, but it is turning orange already. That is bad. It is 2 months early so will probably rot before pumpkin decorating season. Chickens will feast!
Many white potatoes stored in the root cellar over winter have sprouted. Cut them up yesterday and set them out to dry a bit. Planting 6 rows today 4 feet apart and 2 feet between plants.
