Winter beans
Spent most of the morning hands-and-knees weeding the winter beans. They are now 6 inches tall. Then the massive thunderstorm hit. No damage. And I enjoyed relaxing a bit while watching its fury from the dry-ness of my porch.

Many white potatoes stored in the root cellar over winter have sprouted. Cut them up yesterday and set them out to dry a bit. Planting 6 rows today 4 feet apart and 2 feet between plants. Gone. Hopped away, or cat got it. So sad.
We have a sticky fly trap in the kitchen, but today I found a mouse stuck to it. Outside I poured vegetable oil on him where he was stuck and he came right off. Not happy, but alive. Gotta buy a new flytrap.
