To make watering easier, I put a drip line among the cucumbers. A drip line has tiny holes along its length and a cap on the end. It is connected to the regular hose water supply. When turned on, a small trickle of water is released from each hole allowing lots of plants to be watered directly to their roots at the same time, and frees up my time to do other work. Remember that little 3 inch baby that came up randomly? Well, it has gotten big. At least 12 inches across. That may sound good, but it is turning orange already. That is bad. It is 2 months early so will probably rot before pumpkin decorating season. Chickens will feast!
