I picked the first 2 ears of sweet corn. The stalk is only 5 feet tall, but the tassel was all brown and dried so I knew it was time. I squeezed the ear that looked the biggest and oldest and felt for the kernels inside. When I peeled off the green husk, there it was…the finest ear ever. And so sweet for dinner. Best part of summer is the first sweet corn!!
