Sad day
Sad day at the farm. One of my oldest chickens has died. We have a little out-of-the-way spot for our pets so she will lie undisturbed.
Found a surprise baby pumpkin on the volunteer plants in the herb bed. It is just 2 inches now, but will be larger and orange by September. More pictures then.
Planted 2nd patch of green beans. First patch sprouted.
Would you believe it…already have so many strawberries I have to dehydrate to preserve them for winter. Wash berries, drain, slice them in half lengthwise, fill three web-type trays, set the temp to low, and off they go! Ready in about 6 hours. Then store in quart jars with caps and vacuum seal.
